Middle school and high school students – join us for a weekend of extreme winter fun and growing together in Christ at Camp Barakel’s Winter Retreat!
Date: February 18-20
Lodging: Middle school and high school groups will ride up together but will be in separate locations at camp
Total Cost: $95/student
Deposit: $30 deposit due on October 24. Please note the deposit is non-refundable!

CELL PHONES
We prefer that the students NOT bring their phones. If they need to bring them, we will collect the phones when we get to camp and return them when we leave.
Our leaders all have phones if you need to reach your student. (If this won’t work for your family, let us know.)
PACKING LIST
- Bible (No electronic Bible)
- Sleeping bag/bedding (we will be sleeping on bunk beds)
- Pillow
- Towel
- Toiletries
- Winter clothing and footwear {snow boots, hats, gloves, warm coats – VERY IMPORTANT!}
- Other clothes and personal items*
- Money to buy souvenirs or candy from the camp shop. Also, students can rent equipment if they are interested:
- cross country skis-$3
- ice skates-$1
- snowshoes-$1
You are welcome to bring (but don’t have to bring):
- cross-country skiing equipment
- ice skates
- snowshoes
*The entire weekend is very casual, including chapel times. Most of the time, students just wear their winter gear to chapel, so no need to pack extra clothing specifically for that.
Permission/Insurance Form
We must have a signed permission slip AND liability form for each student attending the retreat, along with a photocopy of your student’s insurance card.

- Print the forms (if unable to submit the electronic forms), fill them out and return to the church by Sunday, January 30, 2022.
- Students may not attend the retreat without these forms.
- Please give the form to Jessie, put it in Jessie’s box, or mail it to the church at 5433 N Center Rd Saginaw MI 48604.
Departure
Church: On Friday, be at the church by 5:15 pm so we can start loading. We want to pull out of the church parking lot by 5:30 pm.
PLEASE NOTE: We will be stopping for dinner at Subway. Please make sure you pack money for this expense or have your child bring a sack lunch..
Return
On Sunday, we plan to return to IBC by 2:15 pm.
